Instructional Coordinators

Your OGSD Instructional Coordinator Team

We are pleased to introduce the Oro Grande School District Instructional Coordinating Team. Our purpose is to support the instructional program by monitoring the instructional design and strategies to create an environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. We each bring our own personality and areas of interest and expertise, and we aim to provide the best possible assistance for teachers, administrators and support staff in serving our students. Please contact any member of the team for coaching support, instructional and class management resources, and any other professional needs!

Instructional Coordinator
TK-5, Elementary School

I was born and raised here in the High Desert. I received my Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology from Humboldt State University and my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Masters of Arts degree in Education from University of La Verne.

I started my teaching journey here at Riverside Prep Elementary School in 2011. I love being a part of the Oro Grande School District family and I've enjoyed watching all of my students learn and grow through their educational career. I look forward to supporting our team to ensure that students feel welcome at our school and become lifelong learners.

I am honored to be part of a caring family of the Oro Grande School District. I have over 30 years of contributing to a positive social change of students through innovative and relevant education experiences that address their academic and socio-emotional needs.
I started my education career overseas as a high school Geography and English teacher, and as a Geography national examiner. On moving to the U.S, I transitioned to become a Special Education teacher, later a teacher Onboarding Coach, and a Teacher Induction Coach for my previous district of employment. I am also a University Supervisor who delights in supporting aspiring educators in sharpening and equipping themselves with essential skills in the teaching profession.
I am here to collegially and collaboratively work with educators to transform our professional practices to make learning accessible to all students and to improve student academic outcomes.
I am passionate about innovative and effective teaching and assessment strategies. I have contributed articles to a book chapter and a journal on these concepts. My research area of interest is in making learning accessible to all learners.
I am a mother of two adult daughters. My hobbies are international travel, both for academic purposes and for leisure. I am a sports fan. I love track and field, soccer, football, and rugby.
