Instructional Coordinators

Your OGSD Instructional Coordinator Team

We are pleased to introduce the Oro Grande School District Instructional Coordinating Team. Our purpose is to support the instructional program by monitoring the instructional design and strategies to create an environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. We each bring our own personality and areas of interest and expertise, and we aim to provide the best possible assistance for teachers, administrators and support staff in serving our students. Please contact any member of the team for coaching support, instructional and class management resources, and any other professional needs!

I am passionate about education, a Google fanatic and lifelong learner. I began my career as a 5th grade teacher in 2000. I have taught 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades. After receiving my masters in Ed. Leadership, I stepped outside the classroom to serve teachers as an instructional coach and Migrant Academy Principal. The scope of my experience and expertise has been centered around working with MTSS, PBIS, RtI, Language Learners and Differentiated Instruction. I am so excited to continue my educational journey with OGSD and support teachers in professional development, sharing best practices, improving instructional strategies and fostering relationships. I am here to support you through your journey in education. Outside of work, I serve as a board member for CapCUE. You can find my family on the weekends at the basketball and volleyball courts watching my children living their passion.

I look forward to enjoying the fruit of our individual and collective labor as we support children by providing equitable, engaging and enriching learning environments. I come to OGSD with 20 years of education experience, having begun as a substitute teacher. I taught 3rd and 4th grades, served as a site PBIS lead, after school program coordinator, restorative practices facilitator, and teacher in charge. In 2018, I transitioned from teaching to TOSA as the CTI induction agency representative for my previous district. I grew a love and passion for coaching and facilitating teacher-led professional development focused on equity, education technology, and classroom management. I am here to support you individually to bring out your unique teaching gifts and talents. I am also here to support you as a group in the PLC process to identify the areas in which we can best support our students. My first loves are my husband, two adult daughters, and my family. On the weekends I spend time with them enjoying sports, travel, food and anything outdoors.
