Riverside Preparatory School has a limited number of spaces available for students. A lottery is conducted to determine the order in which an invitation to attend will be extended when spaces are available which are less than the number of students on the waiting list for any given grade level. TK & Kindergarten students for each year are accepted on a “first come” basis until classes are full. The School encourages parents to register for TK and/or Kindergarten as early as possible. Some parents are registering their children for TK & Kindergarten as early as five years in advance!
To be placed on the waiting list and eligible for the lottery a student must have a completed application packet on file with the school.
The Enrollment Lottery for Riverside Prep for the 2023-2024 school year was conducted during the April Riverside Prep School Board Meeting. Invitations to attend Riverside Prep will begin over the summer. If you have any questions, please email [email protected]. For Mojave River Academy enrollment questions, please email [email protected].
Enrollment info for parents:
Parent/Legal Guardian will need to complete and submit an enrollment packet, along with a copy of the students birth certificate, immunization record, and verification of address. If the child is on an IEP (special education services) we will need a copy of that as well. For any high school students, who will be in grades 10-12, we will also need a copy of the unofficial transcript at the end of the semester.
Parents and guardians of all enrolled and prospective students have the option to enroll their child in in-person instruction or Independent Study during the 2023–24 school year.
Parents and guardians have the right to request a student-parent-educator conference meeting before the signing of the Independent Study written agreement and enrollment. Before signing a written agreement, and upon the request of the parent or guardian, the District shall conduct a phone, video conference, or in-person student-parent-educator conference or other school meeting during which the student, parent or guardian, and, if requested by the student or parent, an education advocate, may ask questions about the educational options, including which curriculum offerings and nonacademic supports that will be available to the student in independent study, before making the decision about enrollment or disenrollment in the various options for learning.
Students enrolled in the Independent Study Program, which will operate on an instructional model based upon at least once-a-week, in-person appointments with a credentialed teacher for every student, will have both synchronous and asynchronous instructional time as part of the program. Additionally, students in the Independent Study Program will be able to participate in a variety of on-campus visual and performing arts classes, after-school programs, college courses and athletics.
If you are interested in the Riverside Prep Independent Study Program or would like more information, please email Aprill Hall at [email protected].
Once the enrollment packet is completed, parents can email it to [email protected] or [email protected] along with the back-up documents mentioned above. If email is not an option, parents are able to drop it off at the Enrollment Office or mail it to:
